The hand-made products I feature are items that are tried and tested personally by me. I use the large dog leash on my pit bulls and have the same leash in use for over 9 years now!
The bridle reins although no longer in use, are still in great condition! After 9 years of not being able to ride horses and compete, I pulled out my old reins to use as the model to make a new pair. I discovered they were put away dirty, full of horse sweat and obviously right after a competition.
A quick swish in a sink with gentle soap and cool water brought them to life! NO ROT on the ends where they attach to the clip nor near the clamp by the beads.
I would use these old reins today if I had horses to ride!

My site features articles, training tips, breed information, help in caring for your pet and the equipment to help you get started. My sole mission is to help you keep your pets happy, healthy and well adjusted. I have worked with animals professionally and non-professionally for over 35 years and my experience with dogs, cats and horses is vast.

Each month I will feature a breed spotlight for dogs and cats. This is aimed at providing breed information to help you decide if a purebred is right for you.

The free community forums are there to give you access to other members who are always willing to help. My carefully selected forum staff are there to make sure that you get the help you need for your specific pet question. Or you can come in just to chat and show off your pets. There is a free for members only photo gallery where you can store, share and show off your pet pictures and even send favorite images as ecards!
