Cleaning & Care for Leashes

Care & Cleaning For Your Leash or Reins

Keeping your leash in top condition is very easy!

Simply rinse in lukewarm or cool water with a mild soap and wring out gently and hang to dry. Your leash will dry in a very short amount of time!
*Note: never use hot water!

Don't worry if you see the area on the leash handle where it is fastened start to become "fuzzy" and the heat seal start to break apart.
This is OK! Your leash should not unravel or fall apart.
I sometimes like to 'fluff' mine with a gentle brushing with a comb. It will give that small area a bit of a "pom-pom" effect.

The tassle on the end of the reins sometimes can pose a problem with trail riders. If you find the tassle a pain, feel free to cut it off with a scissors. Just make sure you leave about 3/4" (inch) or so from the metal seal. Leave the beads!

Feel free to contact me for any questions you may have regarding the care of your leash or reins.
